Floret Bond is a free otome Visual Novel/Crafting Sim being developed by GB Patch
Games. It is a sweet, lighthearted, extra-cute game that is basically a
fairy tale for poly romance. You have the option of being good friends
as well, but if you choose romance it will end up as some variety of polyamorous (even if sometimes the MC isn’t the one in the relationship
who has multiple partners). The player participates in the GxB side of
things; however there is also unavoidable BxB content between the two
male leads.
• Genre: Fantasy, romance, friendship, fluff, comedy, drama • Length: 40,000 words or so is the current plan • Endings: 6 possible relationship types, more than one way to end up in each relationship type • Animation: Blinking effects • Release Date: Summer 2017 • Demo: Spring 2017 • Voice Acting: Partial • Platforms: Windows/Mac/Linux, Steam Greenlight campaign at some point
Story
Peony lives a peaceful life dedicated to self-improvement in a small
elven village. It is a simple town and there is little reason for an
outsider to come by. If ever a stranger does come knocking there’s
usually only one reason for it, they need Peony’s service. Within this
world individuals with magical talent choose one area to specialize in.
Peony has a rather unique expertise; she studies the art of
neutralization. With the competition so limited and her prowess so well
known, it has become normal for her to be approached by neighbors and
outsiders alike stuck in shocking and absurd magical situations
desperate for someone who can undo it all. No matter how many unusual
jobs she’s hired for, Peony reminds herself that something stranger can
always occur. And yet today she’ll be getting a commission
that is truly worth remembering.
“Good evening, sir. Can I help you with something?” “Of course! Look! Can’t you see?” “Oh my, you’ve got a little bird on your back.” “I know! Get this off! Please.”
Gameplay
Floret Bond has a few interactive gameplay elements. We’ll make future posts to explain exactly how they all work. For now, here’s the
basic info- • Normal dialog choices (to determine how close Peony is to each guy) • Emotion based choices (to partially shape Peony’s personality and determine if she sees a guy in a romantic or platonic way) •
Skip-able foraging, crafting, trading, and gifting systems (for
additional events and endings. It is a lax style of gameplay that
doesn’t revolve around winning or losing, you simply can put in extra
time/thought to get extra content)
And here it is, our next project! We hope you’re as excited as we are. FB is a game I really want to make and have everyone play. But because FB is completely free-to-play rather than commercial, we’ve gotta start on a smaller scale than our other games. If there’s interest in the project, however, we’ll feel like it’s worthwhile to increase things such as event amounts, CGs, and voiced lines. So if this strikes your fancy, please let us know by liking, reblogging, asking questions, following (on tumblr or other sites), or anything else!
As a future seer, you know exactly who you’re going to spend the rest of
your life with. Unfortunately, it seems convincing them on that matter
might not be so simple. Come to enjoy the journey in this amusing,
exciting, and touching Visual Novel.
⚜Features:
150,000 word script
3 future spouse options (one male, one female, one agender)
Choose pronouns (he, she, or they) and a ‘Normal’ name for Buffalo Seer
A variety of choices, all of which are worth choosing
I’m going to point out some weird things about @projecttrinity‘s upcoming visual novel “Women of Xal” in relation to this site.
1) It’s an upcoming Kickstarter bound otome game that very obviously is PoC / People of Color & WoC/ Women of Color centric. We’ve got a bi female lead with several romancable women. And it’s in a harsh matriarchal society ready to give some brutal parallels to our own. Being helmed by a very capable and snarky Black writer. The two programmers are women. The artists are women. The singers are women. One of the animators is a woman. AND THERE’S TANGIBLE QUALITY TO IT! I thought we’ve been asking for more projects like this for years now. But Tumblr has been the most quiet of the four sites
it’s updating on???
(Youtube, Facebook, LemmSoftForums, Tumblr)
2) How are hateful anons finding this project before everyone else? Why are we letting Black creatives feel like the anon has a point about Tumblr not caring? Isn’t this site notorious for propping up content like this? Where are my feminists at?!
Like, I truly get it: Most of you will have only just heard of this. And Tumblr didn’t make it easy in the first place. Tags and timing are madly important. But so are reblogs and follows! You’re reading this now - there’s nothing truly stopping you from showing that anon the middle finger. For every time WE DON’T JUST ‘HEART’ A CREATIVE’S POST and reblog/follow their content, we prove hateful anons like this wrong. And every time we prove them wrong, we send an encouraging message to other minorities who want to share their passions with the world, but face that uphill battle.
And hey, the writer clearly has faith in this site still:
this was the funniest thing I have ever seen in my LIFE
Cabbot Cove
No violent pre-meditated murders here for

You know, I just realized something. The series is called “Murder, she wrote” in English, right? And you know that theory about how she’s actually the killer in all of her cases (since people always seem to die when she’s around)?
Well, in the german dub they translated the show as “Mord ist ihr Hobby”, which literally means “Murder is her Hobby”. Which implies her being a very different sort of person.
HOW MANY HAS SHE KILLED
You can’t even just look up the number of episodes, because there are plenty of episodes where two, three, even four people get offed!
Mrs. Fletcher, the Harbinger
I have no proof for this at all, but my theory is the Jessica Fletcher is either a manifestation of Death, or is beloved by death. The action of her husband’s death forms the primium mobile of the series. It is his death that compels her to write her first murder mystery, and it is only after her death that, seemingly, her life becomes peppered with dead bodies. Please remember that the first horseman of the apocalypse in Revelation carries a bow, although he himself does not do the killing, he is only there to conquer, but death follows after him. Her last name means ‘maker of arrows.’
There appears to be a supernatural myopia surrounding the frequency of the murders. The seemingly quaint town of Cabbot Cove, ME, population nobody, has several murders a year. The per-capital murder rate is astronomical, but nobody seems to be aware of this. Likewise, whenever she leaves town, somebody dies. It’s never someone she loves directly, although persons she love may become caught up in the aftermath, falsely accused of murder.
Jessica appears to be unaware of the strangeness of all of this as well. This implies either 1. She is similarly under the same supernatural effect that is cast upon ever other person she is around, or, 2. She is play acting.
So, upon the death of her husband, the close association with death did one of two things – it attracted Death to her, and Death as a metaphysical force, enjoying her company, chooses to kill off dozens so that it may remain near her until finally she falls into her end, OR the experience awakened something inside of her/Death overshadowed her being, and now she has become an embodiment of Death, a sort of psychopomp for death-by-murder, with the rest of the world unaware of the sudden shift in policy.
There’s more to a knight’s life than just fighting… romance, for instance. Rose of Winter, a cute fantasy visual novel about Rosemary - a knight with a mission to protect and guide one of four handsome princes through snowy mountain pass, is on Steam Greenlight now! Please vote for it; we’d be happy to add it to our Curator list.
I personally have a lot of faith in this project’s quality, since its writer and creative director is Magnolia Porter (@magnoliapearl), author of an awesome webcomic, Monster Pulse (she also did some additional designs for Undertale!). Other talented artists involved are Aatmaja Pandya (@aatmajapandya) and Victoria Grace Elliot (@googtown).
Just a short message to let you know the staff is back from vacation and we’ll be releasing the demo really soon (complete with unfinished background sketches, yay!) :D
